Cognitive map

COGNITIVE MAP A cognitive map refers to a mental representation of the environment that helps individuals o organise information in cognitive structure. A cognitive map is used in classrooms is a visual representation of student's mental model of atopic or concept. This helps learners to make connections between key concepts and enhance learning. As part of B.Ed. curriculum I was assigned with 2 units to make Cognitive MAPS: 1. Live and Let Live(standard 12) 2. Leaps and Bounds (standard 11)

Innovative Model

Teaching Aids Models are used as teaching aids in classroom which make the learning process more engaging, multisensory, helps in remembering and makes the class more interesting. As part of B.Ed curriculum we made an innovative model and presented it in classroom. I made a model of The Village Blacksmith to introduce the the of the lesson, and also to familiarize new words such as sinewy, mighty, brawny, sledge etc... I also made a sliding chart to familiarise the words, physical appearance of the blacksmith and his characteristic features.

Black Friars presents- Horegallu As part of B.Ed curriculum a video script and its representation is prescribed for students. for this Our group team Black Friars selected Sudha Murthy's short story Horegallu. Our team contains 7 members Sruthi S, Neena S, Arathy B, Reshma G R, Anupama LS, Basith S and Aparna Harindran. Our script is not a complete adaptation but an inspiration from the story. It contains 3 scenes representing 2 timelines in the life of Sudha Murthy. All members were involved in the process of script writing as well as video shooting. Each member has their own duties in organizing as well as executing the plans for this project.
